During the holidays do you ever find yourself wanting to go out and do something festive, but you just can’t find anything to do? Well I did some research on the best holiday happenings around Pittsburgh that would appeal to various individuals. Here’s a list of five fun things to do in Pittsburgh this holiday season.

Ice Skating at PPG Place- As it gets colder, the first thing you should consider doing around the holiday season is going ice skating at PPG Place. Admission price is only $10. This activity will be available until March, and opens at 11AM every day.

The Gateway Clipper- If you have any younger siblings or cousins, you can take them to see Santa, or say hi to Santa yourself on the Gateway Clipper. Check out their website for more information on the many 2 hour long holiday cruises they have.

Phipps Conservatory – If you’re more into observing nature and pretty lights, go to Phipps Conservatory and see their light-up flower garden with friends and family this holiday season. The light show here will be going on from November 23rd to January 6th from 5-11PM.

The Nutcracker – If you like ballet or classical performances then the annual production of The Nutcracker is just the thing for you! This performance is made by the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and shows are November 30th to December 27th.
