On Saturday, May 4, North Hills High School will be hosting a prom for the junior and senior
students at Acrisure Stadium from 6-10pm.
Students will be allowed into the building at 6pm, no earlier, and are encouraged to stay the
entire time. Students will enter through the Press Gate entrance and are asked to park mainly in
the Carnegie Science Center lot, although limited parking may still be available in the Gold Lot. Traffic may be heavy due to multiple events going on near Heinz Field, including a home Pirate game, so plan accordingly.
“The dinner buffet will begin roughly at 6:45 and go until 7:00,” says Activities Director Ms. Chelle Zimmerman. It will consist of salad, vegetables, mashed potatoes, bruschetta chicken
and baked ziti. The theme for prom is “A Night in Disguise” according to Mr. King, the Transition
Coordinator for North Hills and Senior Class Co-Sponsor. Mr. King says “masquerade” masks will be provided at the dance when students enter. Song requests are available but are done differently than last year.
Students will text the DJ so songs can be prepared ahead of time for the dance. To request a
song, text “PLAY” to 724-252-2137. There will be an automatic response that will give you a link
to put your name in (optional) and will also tell you how to send in your song. You’ll text “play
(song you want to request) by (artist), and your message will be sent to the DJ.
Parental permission is REQUIRED if a student wants to leave early under extenuating circumstances. When asked for final words about prom night, Mr. King says, “I want everyone to have fun and be safe!”
