The show is about an old-school, backwoods family that strikes rich as investors discover black oil in their backyard. The family uses their riches to move to Beverly Hills, and they must seek out necessary help to adjust to their new lifestyle. The Clampett family encounters some trouble along the way, and must get themselves out of a very sticky situation.
