Football Makes Playoffs Again

The North Hills Indians’ football team will graduate 25 seniors this year.  All of these seniors will not know what it feels like to miss the playoffs, as the Indians’ have made the playoffs again this year earning a spot as the 8^th seed in the 5A WPIAL playoffs.  The Indians’ will face the 1^st seed in the playoffs and also number one team in the state, the West Allegheny Indians’.

North Hills senior, Stephen Cosentino (DE/TE/G) says “I agree with the seeding that we got because we just couldn’t finish some of the big games. We were there in those big games, but could not get it done in the end.  So its not surprising that we got the 8 seed but once you get into the playoffs, everyone starts 0-0 and anything can happen, so we are very excited for Friday night.

The North Hills Indians’ played West Allegheny in the second week of their season, and held a 16-3 lead, mid-way into the 3^rd quarter.

Do not be surprised if North Hills makes a run at a championship, as they’ve shown that they can play with anyone in the new 5A system.

The game will be this Friday at West Allegheny High School, with kickoff at 7:30.  Please come support and watch our North Hills Indians’ upset the number one seed West Allegheny Indians’!
