Little Shop of Horrors off-Broadway production has been a huge hit since its opening on February 25, 2025. Due to popular demand the show has been extended for child actors Milo Manheim and Elizabeth Gillies to continue performances. The leads are performed by Milo and Elizabeth. Milo plays the lead in a popular Disney movie series, “Zombies.” Elizabeth on the other hand spent a lot of her childhood creating the hit Nickelodeon sitcom “Victorious.” The two have shared their experience with the musical and how they are handling the switch from on-screen to the stage.
Elizabeth has expressed her love for the musical ever since she was a child. She often speaks about her love for the role of Audrey and how long she has waited to perform it. In an interview from BroadwayWorld with her co-actor Milo, she explains how much the role means to her. Ever since she was young she wished to perform the role, which she expressed to her team. Once she got the call from her manager that she had been offered the role of Audrey it was an immediate yes. Liz, despite already knowing so much about her character, has been able to learn so much more throughout the experience. Both her and Milo have explained their comfort with performing the show, describing how much easier it has gotten now that they are deeper into the performances.

Milo on the other hand was not as familiar with his character as Liz was with hers. He explains that when they began he did not have much knowledge on Seymour’s character. Throughout an interview through Broadway.com, Milo expresses his enjoyment in rediscovering the character through his own talent. Unlike Liz, he did not have a special connection with the musical before going into the practices. Therefore, he was able to make this character his own despite the numerous others performing the same role beforehand. He was excited to bring his own twist to the character as well as learn more about the musical as a whole. 
Overall, the musical is filled with fantastic music and requires actors to possess certain acting skills such as strong singing and acting talent, in order to correctly perform the characters. According to Milo the cast has been getting into a comfortable routine when performing the show. This has allowed them to give each audience their very best work each time they conduct a show. Among other things to promote the show the cast has performed live on TV which allows fans a sneak peak into the show. These actors’ performances have created one of the most impressive current off-Broadway shows.
