Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the most dominant players in the NBA today. He is a two time MVP and one time NBA champion who is arguably considered the greatest power forward to have ever played the game of basketball. The past couple of years, the team he plays for (the Milwaukee Bucks) has not met the standards that a player of his caliber should have.
They were so desperate they traded for Damian Lillard a couple of years ago who they thought was gonna be their answer as the one two punch in Milwaukee that would lead to multiple championships. They were very wrong; due to injuries to both Giannis and Dame (more recently Dame tearing his achilles) they were never able to get over the hump.
This has led to Giannis’ frustration with the organization and is looking to play elsewhere. This has come after the Bucks brutal loss to the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the playoffs where it looked like Giannis was carrying the whole team on his back. His list of potential suitors include the up and coming San Antonio Spurs and the Houston Rockets as well as (obviously) the Los Angeles Lakers. This potential trade could lead to an end of an era in Milwaukee.
