This week in country music was one for the ages ,specifically with all the albums and new releases that were released this past week. Whether it is a surprise release like how Lainey Wilson dropped her new song in “Bell Bottoms Up” or a hyped up collaboration with Bailey Zimmerman and rapper BigXthaPlug in “All The Way,” this week had something for the average country fan. There were also some other releases from established artists such as the group Old Dominion releasing their new single.
First, there was the surprise release of Lainey Wilson’s new song “Bell Bottoms Up” which coincides with National Bell Bottom day believe it or not. This song overall is a good song for what it is and definitely a welcome surprise. The guitar solo near the end of the song was rad though.
Second, probably the most listened to song out of everything that was released this past week was the collab between Bailey Zimmerman and rapper BigXthaPlug with “All The Way.” This was definitely a great song but the dynamic between Bailey and BigX is unlike anything that I have ever seen on a country song before. BigX recently came out and said that he plans on making a full country and rap album with the same style that this song is in which going off of this song, this gets me even more excited for that.
There were a couple other big releases including the group Old Dominion dropping a new song. The Old Dominion song is really good and in my opinion the most underrated song that came out this past week. This week in country music was definitely stacked and won’t be topped for a long time.
