Spring is a time of flourishing flowers, and warmer days. Or is it? The most overrated and lackluster season of the year. From the unpredictable weather of murky warm days and frosty cool days, there’s no sense of routine. There’s really nothing to look forward to with this weather. At least you know what to expect in the summer and winter. But with Spring? You might as well roll a die to determine what to wear for the day. Now, I will agree, the blooming trees are gorgeous. I’m the last person to oppose a scenic drive through the plethora of flowering trees in North Hills. However, anybody who has to take a trip from the Student Parking Lot can agree with me on this: the hilltop trees stink! Who knew pollen could smell so foul? Everybody dreads walking to and from school each day, and it’s only an issue in Spring. Just bloom already! The pollen’s smell won’t be the only issue this year, though. Allergy season is going to be in full swing for the next few months. Get ready for constant background noise consisting of sniffling and sneezing. Right around exams too, which could not be worse timing. Spring is definitely a transitional season, and I just know I’m going to spend the entire time counting down the days until summer. It’s good that it’s finally warming up (sometimes), but I can only view these upcoming months as overrated. At least we have Prom to look forward to though, right?
