One of the most talented musicians of the 21st century, Hozier is coming to the Pavilion at Star Lake on July 29th. His voice is the embodiment of ethereal, mixing gospel, R&B, and folk. Regardless of your music taste, I’ve never met anyone who couldn’t vibe to Hozier. I almost didn’t add him on this list, simply because I’m trying to save a V.I.P ticket for myself!
2. Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band
Perhaps you’re more into the 80s? Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band are the definition of classic. With records spanning all the way back to 1973, Bruce has been making music for more than 50 years. You can see Bruce and his band at the PPG Paints Arena on August 18th, though, be careful, you may see Mrs. Byrnes front row!
3. Green Day (PNC Park, September 1st)

4. The Pharcyde (Mr Smalls Theater, April 21st)
Celebrate the pioneers of alternative hip-hop: The Pharcyde, a band that took the 90’s by storm with electric beats and flows. They’ve got more than just cult-classics, such as the laid-backed “Passin’ Me By” or the purely energetic “Runnin’,” their arsenal is full of authentic, creative, and powerful pieces. You’ll definitely need to secure those tickets now, for April 21st at Mr Smalls Theater.
5. Tim McGraw (PPG Paints Arena, April 27th)
While not everyone’s cup of tea, Tim McGraw is the peak of modern day country! While still modern, McGraw creates a rustic charm, with emotional resonance of classic country. His lyrics resonate with genuine emotion, with all his songs following a meaningful story. He’ll be at PPG Paints Arena on April 27th.
6. Aiden Bassett (Thunderbird Music Hall, May 5th)
This list is full of classics, dating back all the way to the 70s, but we can’t forget the rising stars of the 21st century!
