This past Friday North Hills participated in a Stall Day, a fundraiser for Make-A-Wish and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation. The students were given the option to bring in money for different classes and the teachers would have to count the money and the class would be stalled, $1 was 100 seconds. Students needed to bring in a minimum of $24 to stall the whole period. The student council and Hands For Service club members organized this fundraiser and received a generous amount of money. This fundraiser was a great way to help show your support for people in need. It was used to help show support and give support to sick children and their families. This fundraiser helped to show how no matter how difficult it can be, nobody is alone and the support of others can go a long way.In total the fundraiser raised $4,957.55. It was such an amazing opportunity and really showed the generosity and kindness from students. The teachers that chose to participate in this as well are to thank. Raising all this for an amazing cause and being able to help people who need it. Throughout the Stall Day Hands For Service member went around with Tenley, the daughter of North Hills Nataly Price, to help show who the money was going to. Being able to see and understand the people you will directly be donating and supporting is a great way to understand how important even $1 can be. It was an amazing experience to be a part of and to be able to help others who need it. Thank you to all the amazing students who donated, teachers that participated, and the student council and Hands For Service club for organizing this.
