Outer Banks is undeniably one of the most popular shows among teens. The show started with John B (Chase Stokes), JJ (Rudy Pankow), Kiara (Madison Bailey), and Pope (Jonathan Daviss). In the first 2 seasons we were introduced to many different characters outside of the original 4. In Season 1 we were quickly introduced to the Camerons. Sarah (Madelyn Cline), Rafe (Drew Starkey) and Ward (Charles Easton). In Season 2 we were introduced to Cleo (Carlacia Grant) and Big John (Charles Halford) who became two of the main characters in season 3.
Season 3 was action packed and introduced us to a whole new scene. At the end of season 2, it was revealed that Big John (John B’s dad) was alive and living in Barbados. Big John was a very controversial character this season. Not many people liked him, myself included. He seemed to be too distracted by the treasure to enjoy being home with his son who he had not seen for years. Once they were reunited, he immediately wanted to pick up where John B had left off with the treasure hunt. He also put John B in danger multiple times, and just was not the person I was hoping he would be.
Overall I would give season 3 an 8/10 it was a good watch and kept me interested. There were a few moments that didn’t make sense or weren’t explained entirely which makes the rating a bit lower. The casting for this season was perfect. I think all of the actors and actresses played their roles amazingly.
There was an insane amount of action and they were never just staying in one place, which is what I think kept the show so intriguing. The group traveled to many places which introduced us to important characters and scenes. Lots of things didn’t go as planned but in the end it all lined up and had a somewhat good ending. We lost 2 characters in this season but I can’t necessarily say I was upset about it.
