Steelers Draft Takeaways

After a tough playoff loss to end the 2020-21 season, the Pittsburgh hopeful began to look forward to draft night as the start of the 2021-22 campaign. Going into the draft there was much uncertainty surrounding who the Steelers should take with their first round choice. With a struggling offensive line, many thought the safe choice would be a lineman, but after the departure of RB James Conner, the organization had other plans. They went on to take Najee Harris, a star running back from the University of Alabama. While some Steelers’ fans were not pleased by this choice, the feedback in social media was phenomenal. Adding such a skilled player like Harris is extremely important to the future of the franchise in the coming seasons. In the later rounds, the Steelers went on to take multiple linemen to help up front such as Kendrick Green, a Guard from Illinois. With plans of making a deep playoff run in 2021-22, Steelers Nation hopes that draft night can be the start of something special.
