Grammy Awards Preview

Vanessa Martocci, Editor-in-Chief

On Sunday, March 14th the 63rd Grammy Awards will be aired on CBS, with this year’s host, Trevor Noah. Noah is the host of a satirical Comedy Central news series called The Daily Show and according to a CBS interview, he is feeling “all the feelings” about hosting. Performers and presenters have yet to be announced. The Grammys were supposed to be held on January 31st of this year, however, due to significant increases in COVID-19 numbers, they were postponed and will not have an ‘in-person’ audience. The nomination I am most excited about is Harry Styles’s Fine Line for “Best Pop Vocal Album”. Fine Line is Styles’s second studio album with what I would consider to have a classic-rock-inspired sound. Other nominations in this category include Taylor Swift’s Folklore, Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia, Chromatica by Lady Gaga, and Changes by Justin Bieber.
