Banana Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

1.5 cups of flour 

1 tsp baking soda 

.5 tsp of salt 

3/4 cup softened butter or margarine (1.5 sticks)

2 eggs

1 cup packed brown sugar 

3-5 ripe bananas

1 tsp of cinnamon (optional)

1 cup of chocolate chips (optional)

 

Majority of households just let bananas go bad and then throw them away. Don’t do that!!! Use them to make this banana bread! I start off by cutting up 3-5 ripe bananas. The more bananas, the more your bread tastes like them. Cut those up and set them aside. 

 

Next, take a medium size bowl and sift together, or just throw in, your flour, baking soda, and salt. Set this aside. 

 

Now you wanna get your mixer. Mix together your packed brown sugar and softened butter. It should be a cream like texture. See below for how it should look. 

TIP: I don’t suggest melting the butter fully. Either let it sit out the night before baking, or throw it in the microwave for 15-30 seconds. 

 

Once that’s all mixed together add in your eggs and vanilla extract. After that’s mixed add your bananas. All of it. Don’t be shy. Add your cinnamon here if you would like.

Preheat your oven to 350° (or 345 if your oven tends to get warmer like mine) 

 

Once that’s all mixed nicely and looks like the photo above, slowly start to add in your dry ingredients, and chocolate chips if you would like. The final batter should look as pictured below.


Grease your loaf pan, the size doesn’t necessarily matter, I use a 10 inch one. 

 

Add in the mix and put it in the oven for 45-60 minutes. To know if it’s done the top middle shouldn’t be mushy. It should look like the photo below.

 

You can eat this when it’s cooled down or while it’s still a little warm with some ice cream. I don’t suggest cutting it fresh out of the oven.
