Lady Indians fall in a tough section battle

The girls’ basketball team lost a tough Section 3 match-up against rival Pine Richland, by the score of 49-43. The Indians came out to a quick start, leading by as much as ten points midway through the second quarter and took a four point lead into half time. The Lady Indians held the lead throughout the first three quarters, but a fourth quarter run by Pine Richland gave them the win and now have tied the Indians in section at a record of (8-3).
Jamie Halloran led the Indians, scoring with 13 points in another very good defensive battle. Jess Bowen added 11, as well as making her first start of the season for the Indians.
The girls team will wrap up section play on Thursday against another tough section rival as they take on the North Allegheny Tigers, who are undefeated in section play. Tip-off will be at 7:30 p.m. and will be the last time the girls play at home this season.
