North Hills High School alumnus Chris Jamison performed on the hit TV show The Voice on September 30.

Jamison, a 2012 North Hills graduate, tweeted on September 4 with a photo stating that he auditioned and that everyone must tune in for the premiere. He performed as the second week of blind auditions for the show were concluding, singing “Gravity” by John Mayer. Jamison wowed the judges and all of America with his voice, getting all four judges to turn. After a long debate and a short commercial break, Jamison chose Adam Levine as his coach to propel him to stardom.

The winner of the competition will receive $100,000 and a record deal with Universal Music Group. The show is airing its fifth season with a couple of new judges, Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani, along with the regulars Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. Jamison, who is currently enrolled at Capital University, has to take some time off due to his success on the show.
