Coach Buzz Gabos’ Indians defeated Avonworth in front of a hopeful and excited North Hills crowd, Friday night.

Following a WPIAL title game appearance last year, the new look Indians, now in absence of Ishmael Waldron, appeared to be a sharp and contending team in what looks to be a promising season. Seniors, Andrew Paulauskas and Nick Smith lead scoring with 23 and 22. Junior, Kam Taylor added to the big victory as well,  racking up 16 points.

Luke Chutko’s 14-point performance including a buzzer-beater at the end of the first quarter, was another contribution to the North Hills effort.

As many fans, young and old, witnessed on Friday night, the North Hills Indians are back and still a dangerous basketball team.
