It’s the grand-daddy of them all! In Phoenix, Arizona the College Football National Champion will be crowned. With just two teams left, the Clemson Tigers will face the Alabama Crimson Tide on Monday night. This one is sure to be a slugfest.

On our tale of the tape, the Clemson Tigers, led by quarterback Deshaun Watson, came into the championship ranked as the #1 team in the land with a record of 12-0. After beating a Cinderella story of Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl led by this explosive offense, it would seem as though the Tigers have to be the top dawg coming into this matchup. In the words of ESPN analyst Lee Corso “Not so fast!” The Crimson Tide (to no surprise as a Nick Saban coached team) have the top ranked defense due to the nasty seven sitting up front for them. However, that has not been the leading story for this team. They have a man in their backfield that is our new Heisman Trophy winner, and his name is Derrick Henry. Weighing in at a whopping 6 foot 3 and 238 pounds, Henry with 25 touchdowns on 359 carries with over 2000 yards rushing.

My honest opinion is that this will be one game that we will be talking about for awhile. As much as the Tide’s defense is the clearly best in the country, Clemson’s 11 on defense are no slouches. Overall, I will say my prediction of the game is Alabama over Clemson by a score of 28-24.
