From February 19 to February 25, the North Hills Astronomy Club will be hosting laser shows in the high school planetarium.

The regular weekday shows feature an array of classic rock bands, such as the Beatles, U2, Pink Floyd, and Led Zeppelin. Each spans the duration of around one hour, with starting times at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., 8 p.m., and 9 p.m. each night. On Saturday, February 21, a special matinee at 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. presents Lasermania, comprised of a collection of current rock and pop hits, as well as an additional Beatles show at 1 p.m.

Tickets are sold at the door near the planetarium entrance on the third floor of North Hills High School. Prices are $7 for adults and $5 for ages 0-18. Seating is first come, first seated.

Funds go toward the Astronomy Club’s future trip to the Challenger Center in Washington, D.C. that offers a hands-on and educational experience for students interested in astronomical discovery, engineering, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) concepts.
