Is Miss Elliott back? According to her return in the NFL Super Bowl 49 Halftime Show, she is back and better than ever. Miss Elliott returned to the stage by dropping in on Katy Perry’s performance and performing her top songs, “Work It,” “Get Ur Freak On,” and “Lose Control.” Although Missy Elliott has apparently “fell off,” in my opinion, Missy E. is just getting started. Here are some of my top songs by Missy E. and when you should put her in your headphones.

“Get Ur Freak On”– “Get Ur Freak On” is a song that brought Missy E. to where she was in her prime. When should you listen to this song? I suggest you get your freak on when you are doing your responsibilities around the house. Listening to this song while doing chores will keep you distracted from the tasks at hand, and what better way to do your chores than while dancing?

“Work It”– “Work It” is a song that never gets old. Although there have been many remixes of this classic hip hop jam, Missy E.’s original verse still holds the crown for the best one on the market. Please do me a favor: when this song comes on at a dance or at a club, just dance. This song, as most students would say, “goes hard.” I cannot put into words how good of a dancing song this is.

“Pass That Dutch”- is a song that contains a lot of meaning in the lyrics. As she lists famous rappers like Notorious B.I.G.(Biggie Smalls) and Tupac, Missy really shows how much they meant to her. I suggest listening to this song whenever you are in some sort of a “chill” mood. Whether it be while driving or just hanging with your friends, “Pass That Dutch” fits your needs of being a great song to just sit back, listen, and relax.
