On October 6-8, various students in North Hills High School will have the opportunity to dance their way into a “Shake It Off” video promotion during homeroom and lunch periods.

Each student must donate a minimum of $1 in order to participate in the video. The dance segments will be shot in assorted locations throughout the cafeteria. All proceeds donated will contribute the Four Diamonds Fund and Make-a-Wish. Just as Taylor Swift has asked, the members of North Hills High School encourage all participants to shake off their five-second dances in front of the camera.

The “Shake It Off” video has had a tremendous success in the collegiate community. Some fraternities and sororities in colleges have also contributed to the success of these promotions. Universities such as Texas A&M, Louisville, Pepperdine, and Pitt have all created videos with their own unique twist.

The song “Shake It Off” by Taylor Swift has been a huge hit in the pop music industry. This song reached the number one slot on September 6, 2014 for the Billboard Hot 100.
